The summer-growing season has us singin’ the blues, as our favorite fruit pops up in pies all over Central Indiana. Blueberries are officially in season and, oh, how sweet that is for Hoosiers. As Indiana is the 12th largest growing state for the berry that beats all others. That blue hue covers more than 600 acres of Indiana soil. And, boy are we glad it does: one serving of those sweet gems stocks us up with 14 mg of Vitamin C. So grab a fork and have a slice, or two, or three. Heck, have the whole pie: there's plenty to go around in our state!
